Barge on the Ohio River

Friday
After a late start, Roger, Laura and I got out for a hike. I was doing some browsing on the internet yesterday evening, and came up with a few new places to hike. The one we chose was called Bender Mountain, near the Ohio River, to the west of the city. It’s hardly a “mountain”, rather a hill, but the trail did have some fairly steep sections, and since they were a bit muddy in places, I was glad of my hiking poles! There were a few nice views over the river to Kentucky along the ridge, and a barge came along just at the right time to be in my blip. It was another hot, humid day, and after our exertions, we were all rather sweaty, so we felt we deserved a nice “home-brewed” iced coffee, topped with a scoop of ice cream, which we enjoyed out on the patio, in the shade of the sun umbrella! A bit more housework in the afternoon, and a FaceTime chat with Roger’s Dad, then Laura kindly fixed us dinner!
Thanks for stopping by, and have a great weekend!
