First Record

Won't be leaving the house for the next few days so have decided that my in-house blips will be Beatles related. The first single I ever bought was "Hey Jude", purchased from a TV shop, Cuthbertson's in Paisley in 1968. Looking back not a bad choice, however, I do prefer the B side now.

My album of the day is "In The Magic Hour" by Aoife O'Donovan. I first saw this Irish/American singer-songwriter on Transatlantic Sessions. There's a theme throughout the album which reflect childhood summers spent in Ireland with her grandfather Nice voice, clever lyrics, best listened to when you're shielding on your own during a pandemic.
