Return to the North

Letting off a little steam

Headed to the West Coast with my UK friend today. We had travelled up as far as Greymouth on our way back to Murch from 'down south', with the promise that we would head back to Punakaiki. J is a geography teacher and so was interested in the rock formation at Punakaiki etc.
So today we duly set off (with Teejay) to have lunch at the Bay house in Tauranga bay and then on to Punakaiki. J was very impressed with the rocks and the blow holes, having taught about them for 35 years but never seen them blow. Confess that I too have never seen them blow, so was a bit of a treat for me too.
