hoverfly

On chicory. I always find hoverflies very obliging when they’re having their picture taken. Grew this chicory from seed last year and it’s covered in flowers this summer. Got stuff done in the garden today - it’s warm but not roasting. Weeded our big mint bed and now I (and Nelly & Ziggy) smell of different kinds of mint. Tied up the tomatoes again (this always sounds silly as though they need restraining) and made another blueberry cake. Waiting in the kitchen now for N and Z’s dinner to cook.
