short billed corella

Into the city today to visit the osteopath and on the way, a quick detour to the Bell Tower.
Riverside Drive is lined with very, fruitiferous (is there such a word) palms that the short billed corellas just love, and they waddle around on the grassy verges, doing the usual parrot yelling and shouting before flying off up into the fronds.
In the palms, mobs of them jostle and are very vocal when finding a best bunch of fruit.
This character was very protective of his find.
