Thank You For the Days ..

Freedom!

The longed for day arrived today - we went to visit the flat for the first time in three months.

We needed to know the make of our boiler there so we could book a service. Neither of us had a clue. It took about ten minutes to find that, remove the massive pile of junk mail from behind the door and check that there was nothing amiss.

Then it was down to the beach for a visit to the Greek patisserie and a walk from Seafield to Joppa and back, along the prom.  The day brightened up as we went along and more and more people joined in ... but everyone was being very well behaved.

Some were taking part in a form of beach bootcamp (extra) - it looked like a game of leapfrog gone wrong ...  A few brave souls were actually in the sea - and not wearing wet-suits!

Mostly though people were walking, cycling, scooting or exercising dogs and children. Some of the cafes were doing take-away. The Beach House, additionally, has set up a mini-grocery shop selling eggs, flour , veg, coffee - the sort of stuff they'd use in the cafe.  A good idea, keeping the supply chain going.

We passed our friends M & S's flat (other extra), and I was blipping their window when they spotted us and came dashing out for a chat. It was so nice to see them, they are always good craic, as you can guess from all the stuff on display there.

Crossing Soutra on the way home, the heavens opened and down came the deluge. But it didn't last long and it doesn't seem to have rained here at all. So I'll have no excuse for not  getting back to the weeding tomorrow :-(
