A berry nice day

The weather today was much better than forecasted: bright, warm and not a drop of rain. I had a busy time in the allotments:
*. over 7lb berries picked and topped and tailed;
* row of tatties harvested; and
vegetables for tonight’s meal harvested.

It’s been a bumper crop of berries this year: still an loads of berries to harvest but I’m running out of ways to use them. I even made jam yesterday, although it’s not permitted iin my diet, just to preserve them as family and neighbours have run out of freezer space and jam jars and don’t want any more!!
