A worthwhile climb

Today K and I made a day trip back to the Isle of Gigha which, coincidentally, we visited for the first time almost exactly a year ago. Unfortunately the gorgeous blue skies of 2019 had been replaced by thick cloud, but that didn't stop us enjoying the local scenery.

We got chatting to a Gigha resident when we stopped for coffee at The Boathouse after stepping off the ferry and he recommended a walk and climb to the highest point on the island. This is a panorama from the top of Creag Bhan looking west to Islay and Jura.

Extra 1  -  a typical island scene with washing on the line

Extra 2  -  swans in Tarbert harbour

Extra 3  -  closer view of the tiny cottage on the left of the panorama

Off for dinner now. Will catch up with journals once I'm back home tomorrow. Have a great weekend, blipmates.
