An ordinary life....

Something to Smile About...

But sadly no time to think about photography so you're stuck with my fizzog.

So, something to smile about? Yes.

Firstly Alan had a fairly settled night and seemed in a brighter mood this morning. The oral thrush from his antibiotics is also almost gone and he says his mouth feels much better. He ate ravioli then custard for lunch and continues to drink gallons of milk and on top of that he says he wants potatoes and chicken for dinner so David is peeling them as I type. :))

Hopefully if he keeps eating like this they won't have to pass a nasogastric tube next week try and suppliment his nutrition. Even if they do pass one I doubt he will tolerate it and will have it pulled out minutes after coming round from the anaesthetic!

In other good news, I have spoken to a wonderful Support Worker at the hospital and she's confirmed that she has booked a room in the parent accommodation on the floor below the ward. One of us will be with Alan at all times but for a while there we thought we were going to have to get a room in a B&B to give us somewhere to go to catch up on sleep. This will make life much easier all round.

So all in all, a fairly positive day :)
