Thursday 7 February 2013: Grey Heron
This blip is Henry the Heron (Ardea cinerea), he has been hunting along the River Test for most of the last fortnight in the mornings as I go past. If I take my camera out he isn't there or flies away before I can get a snap. If I don't bother with my camera he is there - bold as day! This blip isn't great - it's a tiny compact camera and the light wasn't great but I've got him now.
Tonight is a dinner paid for by my employer to celebrate two successful projects we've done in the past year. Free food and beer, woot!
