an itching in my thumbs

already!

i kiss you as i'm getting off the bus, quick-like, because it's packed and everyone's getting off at this stop, right here, in front of the co-op. the 101's only university stop. you're going to have a seat after this, because people downtown either don't go to work this early or they work at the capitol and they don't ride buses, get it together.

when i get off i go the wrong way, and when i turn around i laugh at myself and wonder if you saw, apparently 8a is a little early for me to be getting off buses these days because i'm disorienting myself. but it's a nice morning.

sometimes you know the day's going to be productive: you can just tell. it's almost 3p and you've finished all your work tasks, read your accounting, done your accounting homework, your business cards are ready for pickup and you might still be able to crank out that two page memo for monday. it's friday and you might just be headed into the weekend having finished everything for monday. don't hold your breath on that happening ever again.

today you feel you again. there have been too many curveballs in the past couple weeks, too turbulent, you are already 1/3 of the way done with the semester, dearlord, this is all too fast.

tonight you are going to see old friends, though, rub elbows in lakeway, the old t4k scene. you probably should change what you're wearing.

i learned a good lesson from being gone from blip for so long and that is that i missed it. i am trying to get my life in a state of rightly balance and we're getting closer this week, but alan's rediagnosis with cancer last week made it so much harder to get back on board. but this morning i felt like i was finally seeing with my camera again so maybe the tide has passed. interestingly enough, this period last year was when my camera was getting repaired - also pretty uninspired. it is true, i never have been much for this season, though i'll admit, i wish i was in boston for this epic 2 to 3 feet of snow. but only for the weekend.

there is so much i wasn't able to tell you in backblipping, lobbyist parties with fried alligator included. these days we are counting down the days until march 9th - when we will head north for leah and brian's wedding. it is exactly one month from tomorrow and we are, shall i say, stoked.

here's to not falling behind.
