Centerfold

Centerfold was an an early 80s hit by the J. Geils Band where his fantasy girl from junior class is years later unexpectedly seen in the centre pages of a magazine. Ah yes, the days before Instagram. I have no idea what that particular song came to mind, that's the beauty of having a jukebox for a mind, I suppose.

My magazines don't tend to have a centerfold (I've used the American spelling as on the record) and any porn is likely to be the gear review pages. After the sudden cessation of Practical Photography magazine I've been trying to find another mag to enjoy. So many seem to concentrate on the basic stuff (how to master lenses, learn to edit RAW, learn how to use filters). You can always glean new stuff from these guys but I've been doing that for years and learnt from the best, I need something to inspire me and lift my photography. Ten best travel tripods? No thanks, I've got all the tripods I need. Anyway, after perusing the June issue,  I've decided to subscribe to Outdoor Photography which should do the job I think. That's the mag that's on my lap in my blip.

It's Wide Wednesday and the theme is 'Song Titles'. Plenty of scope there, there's a song title for just about anything you might shoot. I'm hosting this week and I'll be looking for a bit of imagination of course and the pics that catch my eye. I hope you'll have fun, tag this week is widwed120820.

I'll add an extra from my walk down to Luxton's Steps this morning. The little flotilla was out having fun.
