A4 Antiques (7August 1988)

Before I bought my cottage, I had under offer a Mews House that was the end building behind this shop, and facing a large green space where Harris' factory had been, and where the library and shops now are. The sale fell through because my house in Chesham was unsold.

This antique shop had a coffee and cake department upstairs that offered respite to the hungry house hunters from afar. This property was sold a few years later and rather botched, but more recently became Sam Widges, a very fine baguette shop.
