A resting Heron

A really short work day and since it has been a long time since I got down to the refuge, I headed there for a walk. In the extra is the sign that greets you at the trailhead - I thought it was wonderful how they showed social distancing, Two photos of other birds and a view of the forest. The heron in the main photo is actually perched over the pond. This time of year the water can barely be seen...

I might be sleeping in the truck tomorrow depending on how things go - another one of those multi stop - 500 mile plus drive - loads.
