... but so near to being won.

Following an afternoon of several rain interruptions and actually more play than could have reasonably been expected, the worst of the weather arrived just as the match was almost won for Ben Rhydding. It relented enough at one point to start getting the covers off, before it swept in again for the final time. Match drawn.

A frustrating day for the team, for Forrest as captain, and for me too. I could have been watching Zak Crawley and Jos Butler set all kinds of records for England v Pakistan. It looks like England finally have their number three. It's been a long wait.
