Back to the river

This morning I had a very pleasant stroll with friends along the banks of the river Nene from the village next to mine.
It is hard to believe that Covid cases have leapt by a thousand when it seemed that things were beginning to be under control.
I can't help thinking that the young who are making merry and ignoring all the rules in pubs, raves and parties will rue the day when the figures rise so much that really drastic measures will have to be introduced again.  Then we will all pay the price.
