Dragonberries!

Another pleasant day; and we managed to get a brisk walk up Larkhill and back in the afternoon.

I was a bit taken aback by this large plant hanging over a wall, and across Icknield Lane.  It looked striking; but it also looked dangerous!

It turns out that this is American Pokeweed (Phytolacca Americana) and it is poisonous to eat.  Not great next to a busy pedestrian route; but how many plants do we have in our gardens that are poisonous to something?
