Life after Burradoo, NSW

A new project begins

This is going to be a boring blip but I wanted to chronicle our latest little Covid project.

During Covid isolation our projects have been keeping us sane(-ish). This new project is about tidying up the small storage area in our garden. Last year we had to replace a trellis that fell down with the weight of 10 year old climbers. The trellis has acted as a screen for our trailer and garbage bins etc. We’ve sold our trailer so it now seems like a waste of what could be a pleasant little sitting area .We have decided to add one more section of trellis to enclose a pleasant space and move the garbage bins behind the new trellis.

I couldn’t bear the thought of trying to paint the surrounds of the lattice once they were attached so I arranged for the suppliers to cut the timber and give it to me to paint prior to construction. We’ve lined up our wonderful French handyman, Patrick, to put the trellis up but that won’t be happening for a few weeks yet. I don’t mind painting but I don’t dig holes nor play with concrete.

The car will have to stay outside the garage for a few days. It will probably get covered with possum footprints. No koalas here sadly.

The extra shows the new trellis we put up last year.
