Lindisfarne

After consulting the tide times we had a leisurely breakfast as we didn't need to leave too early to get to Lindisfarne today. Once we were there we had just over 5 hours to wander around before the tide would allow us to leave.

We headed out to the north west of the islands to the Links dunes, away from the tourists. We had a long paddle along the shore before walking to Emmanuel Head, and then back towards Lindisfarne Castle.

We watched seals and bird life including oyster catchers, cormorants and gannets, and a myriad of smaller waders I couldn't even begin to identify.

These upturned boats are found just behind the castle.
