A jolly good day

Pets fed & watered, Jorgie & I did one of our circular walks, a healthy waft of manure coming from the farmer  feeding his fields with the dung spreader which has been going all day long. The old fashioned way, which I'm sure accounts for the wildlife in the surrounding countryside. Another warm day, a little breezy, good drying the washing.
I met Jeanette, a friend from school, for a coffee & catch up. We normally have a meet up with another friend who comes home from Barbados two or three times a year to visit her family, but obviously due to Covid, she is in lock down. I'm not even sure if her birthday card arrived as thy were not allowing International mail in or out. I nipped home to see hubby. He'd fallen on the stairs .. not down fortunately, missed a tread going up, so had taken the skin off his shin so I patched him up, made lunch for us both, checked the garden for watering, then it was time to head back to base.
I made stuffed green peppers, stuffed tomatoes, & stuffed mushrooms, plus baked a corn on the cob in its husk. That was dinner sorted, popped them in the oven, then faffed in the garden. Lifted a couple of clumps of ornamental grasses and potted them, then had a mooch with the camera. The Japanese anemones look fab now as does the Sedum, Salvias, & Verbena bonariensis. I settled on this Astrantia, then had a fartnarkle. Have'nt had one of those for a while ...
Dinner was ready .. very tasty, & enough for dinner tomorrow as well.
Just watched Gardener's World, now it's time to do the dishes.

Wishing you all a great weekend wherever you are, & whatever you're doing.

Thanks to BikerBear/Anni for continuing to host Flower Friday
