Straight Through

Woke up in the night to crashing waves, thunder and lightning and hammering rain onto our balcony, and the bits I'd hung out to dry swimming around in water. Impressive, I watched from inside after getting wet rescuing the masks and undies.

And then watched more this morning from the roof, see extra, hard to choose one to show how much the wind was whipping everything about. It calmed down after ten, folk came out to bail out their boats, and this one came tearing through the gap in the bridge without slowing down at all. We went off to see how a couple from Essex who were in a small tent had fared, seemed OK, though didn't talk to them.

And then home, through more heavy rain, and a complete rainbow, to our thoroughly wet Land, hallelujah!

On a more sombre note, Julia has had another scan, and the Baby is even more poorly. We are praying that God takes her (probably, though hard to tell) before Julia has to make difficult decisions. And for peace.

Gratefuls:
- friends who care and weep and support and love her and Tom
- rain on our Land - and elsewhere, of course, and the excitement of watching weather
- getting safely home, and feeling better (though sad)

Re the virus, really, really worth watching the link Jan has put on her Blip, an antidote to all the panicking - do take the time!
