Frightened Rabbit (again)

The atmosphere at The Forum in Kentish Town tonight fitted all the cliches - electric, buzzing etc. The crowd broke into sustained applause and cheering at times so that the band had to wait quite a while for it to die down before continuing. They looked genuinely really touched by the reception. The music is a mix of melancholy melodic acoustic songs with a rocking full band, often with both within the same song. My favourite album of theirs, and one of my all time favourites, is The Midnight Organ Fight. Check it out. Like most classic albums it's inspired by heart break. It's incredibly personal as he tries to come to terms with his lover leaving him for another man.

Getting the last train home and having to be up in six hours for work is admittedly less fun. I also seem to be developing a cold.
