Ferguslie Half-Timers School

J&P Coates opened their Ferguslie Half Time School on 10th January 1887. It was one of the finest school buildings in Scotland but now is a ruin after being gutted by fire. It could accommodate 400 young girls all of whom worked at the nearby mills. It was called half time as the girls attended this school and worked in the mills on alternative days.

Back at the Chiropractor re my shoulder yesterday, always sore after he has worked at it (again acupuncture, laser and stretching the muscles around the tendon) but I do have more movement in it. I now have an elasticated band tied to the bedpost to do stretching exercises (honest nothing kinky!)
