Thank You For the Days ..

To The Lighthouse

Summer returned today! So it had to be a walk at the seaside. I had a belated birthday present to drop off at C & C's, so that was an additional reason for abandoning the garden chores, packing lunch and heading out.

St Abbs was our choice, and we did the circuit from the village to the the lighthouse, via Pettyco Wick, where we ate our sandwiches and watched a lone fisherman try his luck.

Up top, we watched the fishing boats come and go, tending their lobster pots. And a pair of eider swam into the little cove below us. We were too late to see any brown argos butterflies, they were here in July apparently.

We did 10,000 steps, with 16 floors of elevation, whatever that means. We did stop quite a lot for refeshments and photographs and to chat, so I was fairly pleased with the three hours that it took.

A scone and a coffee in the garden of the Ebba Centre was called for - we have to support them. Luckily the gallery was closed so I wasn't able to support them too.
