Lunchtime Beckons

I believe something is about to go squeak for the very last time.

We went for a walk up to Haresfield Beacon, and I took the new lens to see if there was an alternative to what eventually proved to be a very blown out panorama of the Severn Vale over Stroud. And there was.

I didn't have as fast a shutter speed as I might have wanted, but overall I'm very pleased with the quality of the lens, which as ever exceeded the abilities of the photographer.  If you go large you'll see Kes already has his salad portion ready.

I've put a resized but uncropped shot in as an extra. I actually prefer this one, as the negative space of the sky really sets the kestrel off.
