Surprise!

Today was a good day for cleaning up the yard. A large bag went in the green bin from the front. It is satisfying to have things neatened up.

While watering the pots in the back, I saw this cactus flower. This is the first bloom from this cactus. I am surprised it is blooming at this time of year but delighted to have spotted it. I shouldn't be surprised by anything that has happened this year...it has been a strange one on so many levels.

I am grateful for a day spent puttering.
