Hover Fly

...on a Duck Potato flower. We have Lanceleaf Arrowhead Sagittaria lancifolia aka Duck Potato, growing happily in our pond. It's native to Florida and can be found in the shallows of lakes, ponds and streams. It's flowers are apparently very popular with Skipper butterflies and an assortment of other winged creatures such as this handsome tiny HoverFly.
