This is my better side

Two walks today!

Before lunch I wandered down the main street to see if there were any special cars visiting the Crown pub. There was no sign of anyone. I completed the mile round via Haughton Main Farm and back home.

Liz phoned to ask if I would like to go with her to the NT estate at Wallington this afternoon. It was too good a chance to miss. It did mean driving further than before and on a twisty road, so lots of right knee work.

It was quite busy at Wallington and it was a delight to see small children running across the main lawn, or zooming around on bikes. I learned today about balance bikes for small children. They have no pedals so they learn to balance as they move. It is supposed to make it easier to transfer to a proper bike in due course.

Today's Blip if from the village. There were two boxers looking over the wall high above me and barking loudly. They seemed friendly.

The extra was taken by the lake at Wallington. The colours of the beech were lovely and there were also reflections in the lake, giving an abstract feel to the image.

We watched episode 6 of All Creatures Great and Small. It was a bit on the gloomy side and rather dark.

Julie called for a Facetime at 8pm so we caught up on lots of things.
