Gladhouse Reservoir and cold feet

Starting today I have Mondays off for the rest of the year. The weather window looked fairly good so joined P on his ride. I went solo from Carrington towards Gladhouse but then got caught in a shower and my feet got very cold in the wind and rain. I should have worn booties that go over your shoes to keep your feet warm. I opted not to continue further on and pegged it back home. 
20 mins was all it took for the peer pressure from my flatmates to force me back out and do over the 3 hours I said I would do. Now with fresh socks and booties.
