Why Does it Always Rain on Me?

Yet another day where we've seen nothing but rain, so I though this image would be appropriate of Sadness (from Inside Out) with the raindrops on the window pane. More sorting and shredding today, plus I made some soup. I meant to mention that I got a call from the Auden Theatre in Holt on Thurs, they've decided not to open until 2022, so were refunding any 2021 tickets and credits for cancelled 2020 shows - so disappointing but I can understand why as it's part of Gresham's school. Really looking forward to Anton judging on Strictly tonight.

Day 244 / Day 10 of Lockdown 2 (for my record only)
UK deaths up 462 to 51,766 (revised basis), with 26,860 new cases, 14,915 patients in hospital and 1,355 on ventilation. Globally cases to date pass 54m, up 1m in less than 48 hours, with the US having 11m of those cases. The DHSC launches a pilot in care homes 'so designated family members or friends can be tested and reunited with their loved ones.'  British Heart Foundation says c5,000 extra heart related deaths have occurred in England since the pandemic started. 16 arrested in Liverpool during a lockdown protest and Police finally forcibly closed a gym in North London on Wed which is now facing £67,000 in fines - what goes through people's heads??? Leicester's Golden Mile normally hosts one of the biggest Diwali festivals of light outside India, but not this year due to lockdown. Arcadia Group's Sir Philip Green is trying to borrow c£30m this weekend to keep the business afloat.
