Saturday 4 April 2009: Hmmm, now let's see...
This wasn't wasn't the blip I planned but when this little guy appeared, I couldn't resist.
I wanted to set up my tripod but didn't as I sensed I needed to work quickly before it leaped away.
I think we underestimate the intelligence of insects and animals. A pair of eyes tracked me and it's behaviour suggested curiosity or at least a high level of awareness (what wouldn't be with a big camera in it's face?!).
Suddenly grasshopper flattened itself into the rug and disappeared. When I lowered the camera it was on the top of it!
In the small hours of tomorrow our clocks go back an hour and daylight saving ends. Noooooooo!
Oh well, less than 6 months to go ;-)
Edit: No grasshoppers were harmed during this blip ;-)
