Much needed lights

Traditionally in The Netherlands there wouldn't be any Christmas decorations until after St Nicholas Eve (Dec 5) but the darker shorter days in these weird semi-lockdown times that we've been in since March 13th  makes that people are having lights and other seasonal decorations much earlier. I confess to having a mini Christmas tree with lights already and today for the last weekend assignment for the Dutch photo course I was experimenting with fairy lights and the Christmas Dutch houses silhouette. Please don't mind the rough cutting of the paper behind it, I was running out of time as I had been busy baking and cooking all afternoon. Only to find out Jack and parents won't come today as planned after all ...
Never mind, we'll have more lasagna and cake for us three ;-)  (see extra)

All this cooking activity did mean however that I didn't have time this afternoon to comment on all the lovely Abstract Thursday entries, many of them with a watery theme. I did however star all the ones I could find with the AT283 tag ! This coming Thursday is the first in December already. Unbelievable, but true (and maybe the sooner we can say goodbye to 2020 the better it is!?). So, this coming week as usual on the first Thursday of the new month there is no theme, feel free to enter any kind of abstract you like, as long as it's made/taken on that day ! The tag will be AT284

Here's the list of last week's specials:
craftylady             glass and reflective reflections
KangaZu               rippled reflections
Nanzy19               harbour ripples
carol_durham      watered puzzle
Miranda1008       wooden wave

Thanks so much for the kind comments and stars for yesterday's kind comments and stars for the misty view towards Antwerp :-)
