Blue sky geese

Day of remembrance today, thinking about a friend lost, and our lives and choices changed forever. Sometimes I think about what life would have been like without the years of stress and worry that the earthquake brings us. But at least we all survived, and what else really counts?

It's hard to think there will be at least 2 and probably 3 more years until our house is fixed - or demolished, we won't know which until 2015, but we can live in it, and it's reasonably weather tight, so definitely not complaining - there's a lot worse off than us, and worst of all those who lost loved ones, or were terribly injured - my heart goes out to them.
