East Coasting

50 Shades of Grey!

This shot was taken from almost the same spot as yesterdays blip and at about 10am this morning. If I thought yesterdays blip was a stormy sea then today was a whole different scenario. The much predicted Extreme Low that has been hovering off the east coast for a few days finally hit us at about 2pm this afternoon. And hit us it did with a fury! It was the the wildest wind I have experienced since the seventies when we had a mini hurricane hit where we lived in western Queensland.
The rain this afternoon was torrential and horizontal and even penetrated through our very thick paneled wooden front door - that's a first -not under but actually through the door! Anyway things have settled a bit - the wind is still howling but not as strong, and the rain is still heavy but not as bad. We are going to head out later if things quieten down and go and see what damage, if any, has been done. I may add an update later if we manage get out.
