Mackowa Ruda

I went to collect the planks finally today and returning I paused to look off the new bridge in Mackowa Ruda which they completed in the autumn. In the summer you would probably see people kayaking down the river. Here it is quite popular to spend a holiday kayaking along the meandering rivers and camping on the riverbank overnight.

Mackowa Ruda takes its name from the ochre deposits which can be found in the peat bogs and which were once used to smelt iron.

My oak planks are now splendidly smooth and flat.
