Fuel on the fire ...

There was an urgency about traffic in town today. Christmas and New Year here traditionally brings panic - not sure why this should still be the case with so many enforced scaled back celebrations this year. Online delivery vans at high speed add danger to this urgency.

The queues outside all the expensive food shops were even longer today. The hunched figures begging from the pavements adjacent to these queues made me feel extremely uncomfortable as I drove by.

We had a walk at dusk on the beach looking for Saturn and Jupiter but once again the low cloud denied the view. Beach bonfires are increasing in frequency as the winter chill begins to bite.
