An Lòchran building at lunchtime.

Bus crash this evening at the Littlemill bridge bend, outside Munlochy. The Stagecoach bus ran straight through the bridge's wall and then went over the burn and landed on its side. One person trapped was released, and several others injured. Blue lights everywhere. Main road was closed with diversions near the A9, but the Drumsmittal back road route wasn't. Which meant I came upon the distant scene from above, by the War Memorial, about a mile from home. There were flashing blue lights stretch all along the road. Was diverted back towards the A9, turned North for Tore, and then to the top road by Munlochy. Probably an extra six miles. Thankfully for me it was very mild. Hope all involved are fairing well.

Edit - In the coming days, it was revealed that there was one fatality. The poor driver appeared to have had a heart attack, and died at the wheel of the bus. A very much liked African gentleman, Sammy. He was the husband of a retired work colleague. They'd only been married for a few years. So very sad.
