The Flashing Blade

Evening all.

I was going to give you a different blip today and a ramble on about how certain songs have a certain rhythm which lend themselves to very specific activities, such as certain music helps with housework and vacuuming, some for diy projects and others with erm, well, other types of rhythmic activities.

However i shall save that for another day and another photo.

Instead i shall advise you that i'm having a quiet sunday afternoon.

The current Mrs R has been down to Cambridge to see some old friends, number 1. daughter has retreated to the sanctuary of her bedroom on the pretext of having "lots of french homework" and i am having ten minutes off the housework whilst i have a cup of coffee and watch an episode of 70s cult tv show " The Flashing Blade" on the dvd.

You do have to be careful watching old remembered progs without wearing your rose tinted glasses otherwise you can see them for what they are, but oh, what a theme tune. I could happily rewind the episodes to the theme tune again and again and again and pretend i was a debonair, swashbuckling, handsome cavalier with a quick blade and a quicker wit.

Or i could just go and start cooking tea.

Yep, i'll probably do that.... once i find a musical accompaniment.
