Wind chill

Most of the snow is gone, but it's because it's blown away rather than melted. Lovely bright sunshine, but with a temperature of 2C, and wind off the Pyrenees gusting at 60 kph, it wasn't a day for lingering outdoors. Just a quick dash up the road for a blip, and back to a roaring fire and a cuppa.

S's mum's 95th birthday today. Sorry not to see her in person, but we've just had a family Zoom, only slightly marred by the first 15 minutes being spent trying to get her audio to work. She was in good spirits despite being home alone, "all dressed up and nowhere to go". She did get lots of cards and presents.

Edit: ooof, on this day last year we were enjoying lunch on the beach! Seems so far away now.
