Neidpath Castle

It was glorious clear sunny day down in Peebles. After watching a pair of goosander swimming under the clear water we walked upstream along the north bank of the Tweed as far as Neidpath Castle, which was under the gaze of a male kestrel; along the way we had had a good sighting of a heron. We then returned on the south side, opposite Hay Lodge park, seeing the goosanders again.

Coming home through the Lyne Valley we saw our first lambs of the season, while, opposite, a flock of Lapwing grazed the field.

A very good trip.

Thanks for the stars for my snowydrop yesterday. It still has a covering of snow.
