All Saints Church, Newcastle.

Out for a walk along the Quayside at Newcastle this morning, I chose this church for my 1500th blip.
It stands on the brow of a steep bank overlooking the River Tyne. It is a late 18th century elliptical church, built to replace a medieval church on the site. It was deconsecrated in 1961, and is now used as offices and an auditorium. I always think it resembles the filling in a sandwich, between those other old buildings.
Thanks to everyone who is involved in making this such a great site, and to those who make the time to look at my blips. There are quite a few gaps at the moment, but I will still continue to take pictures whenever I can.
