2016-09-27 (Day 271) Bridge 49

This is Bridge 49 of the Union Canal.

At some point in the past, I guess Bridge 49 has needed some repair work, because on the west side of the bridge, these... things... can be seen.

There aren't any similar studs on the east side of the bridge, but our prevailing wind comes from the south west, so maybe the wind and water have damaged the bridge over the years.

Anyway, I rather liked the shape they make as they follow the arch of the bridge, so here they are...
