2018-05-20 (Day 140) Farewell, Maplin

So, my local branch of Maplin has now closed down. All others will follow soon enough.

It's a shame - I liked the shop. I did buy stuff from it - some hard disks, a UPS and some other odds and ends. But even in the closing down sale, I struggled to find a lot to buy there. Perhaps that is indicative of why it couldn't stay open.

Oh well, good luck to everyone who worked there in finding new jobs.
