So Proud

Wintry wind swept day today, unloading bags of dried wood to stock up for the stove, both for kindling and mixing with smokeless coal. Walking Hollie dog and face feeling as if it has been sandblasted! Early lunch and retire to the shed for warmth, easy listening music, copious amounts of tea and a tunnocks tea cake. Cool.
Thinking of Joe, our son. Had some shots of his leisure time on a frozen lake in Sweden. Skiing, ice skating and walks in the snow. - 8 at the moment but getting colder. I think we are going to feel the effects of this Arctic blast here in the UK. He is working overseas, doing well and we are so thankful he went to Uni, got his degree, but in his gap year he did a year in industry, working for Ingimex. They are a specialist engineering firm doing commercial vehicle conversions. He learned a lot in that time and made friends. It gave him skills and knowledge that stood him in good stead for the real world. Miss him, but glad he's doing well. And we get to keep the coasters. Life is grand isn't it.
