Pearly Gates

..well not quite, but the village had another funeral today. The warmest, friendliest, most vivavcious woman you could meet. A nice tradition has emerged during lockdown of villagers lining the route (outside their homes) to the church to pay their respects. Bright colours were adorned by many in line with her wishes; the local theatre group in particular. She made the costumes and I also remember the outstanding Sri Lankan curry evenings that she used to put on with countless dishes for the village.

Had the 2nd session of "Step into Singing" with Opera North today, for those living with pain. Excellent fun as per last time.
