Going, gone

Most of the agapanthus around here are going to seed and looking like this. Now we are supposed to cut the seed heads off before they ripen and disperse. There are so many, it seems like a rather forlorn quest.
 
Meanwhile the impeachment has been completed and the former President has been acquitted. I have searched in vain for a fitting comment.
