Right to return

I travelled to Khan Younis refugee camp, together with a translator from the office, to interview this amazing 85-year-old man, Mohammed Mohammed Mohammed Tuman. He and his entire village fled Isdod in 1948 under threat of attacks by Jewish settlers. He still longs to return to his home.

I could have stayed talking with him for hours but, unfortunately, had to decline his kind invitation to lunch and return to the office. I tried my best to represent his story with this narrative. He has had a fascinating and very difficult life.
