Our Amigo

In Portugal, you give serious attention to the business of eating, and only when that's done, do you turn to deeper conversation, over the coffee and liqueurs. Our conversation today went on for hours, and loved seeing the late sun lighting up Cecílio's face as we chatted on.

Ended up doing the African thing and walking them most of the way home, got back just in time for our church's 6:30 Livestream.

Gratefuls:
- the food coming out well, if I do say so myself: a fish pie as English as I could make it given that no smoked fish here, with a crispy rösti topping, and a perfectly tart tarte au citron with pâte sucrée, which was delicious, but very crumbly
- Mike doing most of the washing up, while
- I read a bedtime story to the grandkids in Sutton: The Giant Jam Sandwich, read beautifully here, if you've never had the pleasure
