Autolib' on Rue Tolbiac

This is our near-by shopping street in Paris 13th--a small slice of our neighborhood. In the foreground is an all-electric car offered for rent by the hour by the Autolib' service in Paris. The Autolib'website proclaims it to be "the first public service plan with electric vehicles to be developed in a large European metropolis." We have not used it but it definitely seems interesting.

Other features of the image: Clockwise on the upper left: one of the thousands of motorcycles in Paris; a van with graffitti which echoes that of nearly every small van in Paris; our local small supermarket (Carrefour Market); a large green receptacle for recycling glass; nearby a partly hidden green barrel (with a yellow cover) for recycling paper and containers; and (finally) another motorcycle, close-up in the lower right :)
