My yard work crew -

It was a lovely warm morning here and we had lots of work to catch up on outside. I cut back the epimedium (aka bishops hat); the stems made perfect little flags for the children to wave around while I raked leaves out from under the plants. They helped me push it all into the pot to put on the compost pile, and then dumped it all out onto the sidewalk! While they played dump and fill I continued cutting back and raking - we actually made some progress out there! Working next to the pink ribes, which should bloom soon, I discovered that it has a subtle fragrance I had not noticed before.

This is my first blip with the new camera - so far I (we) like it. As the family nerd I am reading the instruction manual - the family geek is experimenting and playing with it to discover its secrets - this may be the difference between nerds and geeks.
